Established in 2015, Corpus Christi Helping Hands serves those in need in and around our community, the Greater Pittsburgh and the Tri-State areas. Through the generous donations of our parishioners and other parish ministries we provide food, clothing and other daily supplies such as toiletries to those in need. Our volunteers meet the second Wednesday of every month to discuss service opportunities as well as make bologna sandwiches delivered to various food banks, missions and outreach organizations and pack 144 Backpack Blessings providing a bag of food every Friday to 36 Chartiers Valley Primary and Intermediate Centers. The ministry also sponsors events such as the annual baby shower and angel tree. Members participate monthly in "On The Line" that provides food and clothing to the homeless at Allegheny Commons. Our success depends on YOU, our generous parishioners.Our pantry is in need of restocking for the school year.  Food and clothing donations can be dropped off at Saint Barbara social hall. Monetary and gift card donations can be placed in the collection basket in an envelope addressed to Helping Hands. New volunteers are welcome at our next meeting on October 11, 2023 at 10 am at St Barbara Hall. Please bring 2 big loaves of bread and 2 lbs of bologna.
